Easter services
-
Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week. You’ll see palm branches around the worship space. This is symbolic to remember when the crowds lined the path with palm branches and cloaks to make a way for Jesus who arrived in Jerusalem on a donkey fulfilling the prophecy about the coming king found in Zechariah 9:9.
-
Good Friday commemorates the events leading up to and including Jesus’s death on the cross. His death began the salvation process for all of humanity. This service is somber as we remember the pain and suffering of the God who died in our place so that we can be in relationship with Him again (Hebrews 2:17-18; Hebrews 9:14).
-
Easter Sunday is the celebration of Jesus coming back to life which completed the necessary sacrificial process so that humanity could be in relationship with God again (Luke 24:5-7). Jesus’s resurrection allows those who believe in Him to live with God eternally.
