Governing Board

The elders, staff, and treasurer.

Senior Pastor | Rev. Dan Moyer

Pastor Dan has served as the senior pastor at Penn Hills Alliance Church in Pittsburgh for the past 14 years. He and his wife, Gretchen, as well as their two children, Lydia (10) and Simon (8), will join us late summer 2019. Welcome Moyer family!

Worship Leader | Ben Masters

Ben is our longest-running team member and has been leading us in worship since 2012. Ben has played in various rock and pop bands in the Toledo area and formerly served at First Alliance Church, where he played lead guitar. We like hearing his stories about growing up overseas in Thailand and Cambodia as an “MK” (that’s church lingo for Missionary Kid). If Ben is not rocking out on his electric guitar, you can find him at Chick-fil-a, where he is a team member and in leadership training. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Administrative Assistant | Angie Blank

Angie joined us in January of 2018 as our administrative assistant (which is a very hip and politically correct way of saying “church secretary”). Prior to this, Angie spent 3 years teaching music for Lake Schools and then 10 years staying home with her small children. She has been married to her highly supportive husband, Tony, for 13 years. When she is not assisting HLAC administratively, she enjoys teaching piano, wrangling her four sons, reading, and running.

Children’s Ministry Director | Lori Hayes

Lori loves working with children and is passionate about seeing them get to know the Lord. She joined the HLAC team in February of 2017. Prior to that, she served 20 years in children’s ministry and education at Christ Church at Grove Farm and Beverly Heights Christian Preschool- both in Pittsburgh. She recently completed the Children’s Disciple-Making Leadership Certificate through CMAlliance University. Lori has been married to her husband, John, for 33 years. They have three adult children: Andrew, Amanda, and their son-in-law, Jim. In her spare time, Lori enjoys spending time with family, being in nature, camping, and hiking.
